Je possède une importante collection consacrée à la philatélie sarroise, qui comprend une bibliothèque très fournie.
Mes recherches portent sur les émissions des autorités militaires françaises de 1945 à 1948, avec un accent particulier sur la série de timbres « Métiers et sites de la Sarre ».
Dans mes articles de blog, comme dans mes autres publications, j’associe la recherche historique et la recherche philatélique pour former un tout fructueux.
Je suis membre de l’Association Internationale de Journalistes Philatéliques (AIJP), de l’Association des historiens allemands (VHD) ainsi que de divers communautés d’étude philatélique.

My research focuses on the issues of the French military authorities from 1945 to 1948, with a particular emphasis on the stamp series ‹Professions and Sights at the Saar›.
In my blog posts, as in my other publications, I combine historical scholarship and philatelic research to form a fruitful whole.
I am a member of the Association Internationale de Journalistes Philatélique (AIJP), the Association of German Historians (VHD) as well as of various philatelic working groups.

Ich pflege eine aussagekräftige Sammlung zur Saarlandphilatelie, welche eine umfangreiche Bibliothek umfasst.
Mein Forschungsschwerpunkt liegt auf den Ausgaben der französischen Militärbehörden von 1945-1948, wobei mein besonderes Augenmerk den Briefmarkenausgaben ‹Berufe und Sehenswürdigkeiten an der Saar› gilt.
In meinen Blog-Beiträgen wie in meinen weiteren Publikationen verbinde ich Geschichtswissenschaft und philatelistische Forschung zu einem fruchtbaren Ganzen.
Ich bin Mitglied der Associaton Internationale de Journalistes Philatélique (AIJP), des Verbandes der Historiker und Historikerinnen Deutschlands e.V. (VHD) sowie verschiedener philatelistischer Arbeitsgemeinschaften.
